Obituary of Doris Brandt

AUBURNDALE - Mrs. Doris Theresa Fiezl Brandt "Momma Doris", age 78, a resident of Auburndale, went to be with the lord Thursday, November 3, 2011 at home surrounded by her loving family due to complications from a hip fracture. Mrs. Brandt was born July 31, 1933 in Orlando, Florida. She was the youngest of seven children born to Albert Adam and Frances P. (Topliff) Fiezl. She and her husband have been Auburndale residents since the 1970s, coming from Orlando. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winter Haven, was a member of the Winter Haven Moose Lodge, enjoyed playing cards, reading and traveling. Doris was a homemaker, loving wife and embraced her role as a dedicated mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers: Charles, Francis and Albert, Jr. Fiezl; 3 sisters Jeanette Savard, Ruth O'Connell Statkus and Barbara Morrison. Doris is survived by her devoted family: husband of 60 years: John William Brandt, Sr. of Auburndale; 2 sons: John William (Christine) Brandt, Jr. of Lakeland, Bruce Robert (Young Ae) Brandt of Columbus, S.C.; 2 daughters: Frances Christine (Michael) Perry of Sylacuga, AL, Lynn Elizabeth (Wayne) Donn of Auburndale; 10 grandchildren: Carol, LaRay, Westly, Rose, Tim, Coral, Damien, Doreen, Jonathan & John; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM Monday, November 7, 2011 at the Kersey Funeral Home, 108 E. Lake Stella Dr., Auburndale.
