Obituary of Mervin Hager

AUBURNDALE - Mr. Mervin F. Hager, age 94 a 38 year Polk Co. resident passed away Sun. 11/27/11 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale due to pneumonia. He was born 3/23/1917 in W.VA. He was a retired Butcher, member of Dundee Baptist Church, and enjoyed watching baseball & football. He was U.S. Navy veteran serving during WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife Beulah & 2nd wife Betty and 2 sisters. Mervin is survived by: 2 sons: Eugene (Mary) Hager of Auburndale, Don Hager of Winter Haven, 4 grandchildren: Donna (Mike) Townsend of Winter Haven, Don Hager, Jr. (Jack) of Winter Haven, Sherry (Vincent) Jarvis of Maryville, TN, Kenny (Linda) Whitford of Auburndale, 8 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren. Graveside service will be 11 AM Fri. 12/2/11 at the Auburndale Memorial Park. Visitation will be held before from 9:45 till 10:45 AM at the Kersey Funeral Home.
