Obituary of Jack Summers

Mr. Jack D. Summers, Sr. age 92 a resident of Auburndale passed away Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the Life Care Center in Winter Haven due to natural causes. Mr. Summers was born January 24, 1920 in Hiram, Georgia to Dean and Carrie (Porter) Summers. He was a resident of Auburndale/Winter Haven area since 1954 coming from Atlanta, Georgia. He was a United States Navy Lieutenant Veteran serving in WWII. He graduated from Berry College in Georgia with a Bachelor's degree in Biology and also attended LSU School of Banking. He retired as a Banking President of Peoples Bank and Suntrust Bank of Auburndale. He was a former President & member of the Auburndale Chamber of Commerce and a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Auburndale. Jack enjoyed his rose garden and loved his family.
