Obituary of Mary Lyons

Mary Marie Lyons, 85, of Auburndale, passed away August 13, 2012 due to congestive heart failure. Born in Auburndale on August 25, 1926, she was the daughter of Robert Raymond Traylor and Nellie Corene Norman. Left to cherish her memory are daughters Jennifer Nichols, Sharon Shreiber Anderson, grandchildren Stacey Ison, Jake White, Evan Nichols, Michael Hays, and Laurie Plemons, as well as great-grandchildren Bella, Katie, Andy, Emma, Hannah, Seth, and Aaron. She is preceded in death by her husband Ted Lyons and daughter Kathy B. Brosky. At the time of her death, Mary had nearly 55 years? sobriety in Alcoholics Anonymous and was a member of the Annie H. Darracott chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. In lieu of flowers, the family graciously requests all donations go to Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, the Annie H. Darracott chapter of the UDC, or the 2720 Club in Winter Haven in her honor.
