Obituary of Richard McAlister

POLK CITY - Richard Carlton McAlister, age 82, (Apr.10, 1930) of Polk City passed away Thursday December 20, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of pancreatitis. Mr. McAlister was a native of Little Rock, Arkansas and had been a resident of Polk City for the past 12 years coming from Orlando. He was a retired manager of Sun Trust Bank after 37 years and was a business manager for the Macedonian Missionary Service for the past 12 years. He was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church in Auburndale, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and graduated from LSU School of Banking. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Dolores. Survivors include 2 sons, Richard W. (Jenny) McAlister of Franklin, N.C. and Robert S. (Linda) McAlister of Kissimmee, FL; a daughter, Tami (Mark) Davis of Lenoir, N.C.; a brother, Raymond (Barbara) McAlister of Polk City; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 1 great great Granddaughter. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, December 27, at the First Missionary Baptist Church, 406 Main Street, Auburndale, Fl. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Thursday before the service. Graveside services will be 3:00 P.M. Thursday at the Woodlawn Memorial Park, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, Fl.
