Obituary of John Pickard

AUBURNDALE - Mr. John "Bud" Pickard, age 91 of Auburndale passed away Friday, December 21, 2012 in Tampa due to heart failure. Mr. Pickard was born in Hillsborough, N. C. and had lived in this area since 1955 coming from Burlington, N.C. He was a Coast Guard Veteran during WW II and was the former owner of Central Tire in Auburndale. Mr. Pickard was a member of First Baptist Church in Auburndale and enjoyed cultivating citrus trees. He was preceded in death by his wife, Amaryllis Pickard and is survived by a son, Vance (Marty) Pickard of Winter Haven; a daughter, Deborah (Robert) Ernst of Auburndale; a brother, Sherman Pickard of Youngsville, N.C.; 3 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 PM at Auburndale Memorial Park. Kersey Funeral Home, Auburndale serving the family.
