Obituary of Ruby McCarty

AUBURNDALE ? Mrs. Ruby Jewel McCarty, 81, of Auburndale passed away peacefully Sunday, December 23, 2012, from congested heart failure. She was born February 5, 1931 in Opp, Alabama to the late Clarence and Ruby (Bass) Floyd. She was a devout Christian woman and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a dedicated member of Lena Vista Baptist Church. Jewel is survived by her husband of 63 years, Cecil McCarty, one son, Decoven (Denise) McCarty, Plant City, FL, and four daughters, Sylvia (Jerry) Blankenbaker, Lakeland, FL, Julie Little, Auburndale, FL, Tina (Steve) Moore, Auburndale, FL, Brandie (James) Copeland, Auburndale, FL, and one sister, Dorothy (Dwight) Tyner, Phoenix City, AL. She has six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 29, with funeral services to follow at 11:00 A.M. at Kersey Funeral Home, Auburndale. She will be laid to rest at Auburndale Memorial Park.
