ALEXIS GRANT OBITUARY

Alexis Dashae Grant, known to family and friends as “Lex,” passed away on March 6, 2024 in Winter Haven, Florida, at the age of 28. She was born February 26, 1996 in Winter Haven, FL. Alexis was a beloved substitute teacher and a compassionate Home Health Agent. She touched the lives of many with her kind and giving spirit.

Alexis attended Winter Haven High School and furthered her education at Polk State College. Her dedication to education was evident in her role as a substitute teacher, where she made a positive impact on students’ lives.

Alexis was a vibrant soul who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, writing, bowling, watching movies, spending time at the beach, and indulging in shopping trips. Her warm and loving nature endeared her to everyone she met. She will be remembered for her sense of humor, intelligence and inner beauty.

Alexis is survived by her mother, Lameika Johnson of Winter Haven; father, John E. Grant, Sr. of Auburndale; sisters, Diamond Grant of Alabama; Princess Johnson and Destiny Johnson of Winter Haven; Charity Grant of Lakeland; brother, John E. Grant, Jr., of Winter Haven; grandmothers, Glynis Johnson and Eva Lisbon Grant; grandfather, Johnnie Grant; and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins whom she will truly be missed by.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Alexis’s life will be held on April 6, 2024 at The Family Worship Center (Coffee House), 1350 E. Main St, Lakeland, FL 33801. Visitation with family and friends from 10AM to 11AM. A brief memorial will begin promptly at 11AM. Kersey Funeral Home in Auburndale, FL is assisting the family with arrangements.

Alexis will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
