Obituary of Gene Anderson Bamberg

Mr. Gene Anderson Bamberg, age 86, a resident of Winter Haven, Florida went to Heaven on Thursday, February 1, 2024 at Good Shepherd Hospice House in Auburndale surrounded by family. Mr. Bamberg was born June 9, 1937 in Bonifay, Florida to William and Irlie Muriel (Anderson) Bamberg. He was a Polk County resident since the 1950’s coming from Bonifay, Florida. Gene was the Owner/Operator of Bamberg Roofing in Winter Haven and a member of Newberry Baptist Church in Winter Haven. He enjoyed fishing, working and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers; sisters and granddaughter – Mindy Perry. Gene is survived by his loving & devoted family, wife of 60 years – Helen Bamberg of Winter Haven, Florida; 3 sons – Mike (Robin) Perry of Mulberry, Florida, Tommy (Lisa) Bamberg of Auburndale, Florida and Tony Bamberg of Tennessee; 2 daughters – Patricia Bamberg of Winter Haven, Florida and Susan Meyer of Georgia; brother – Steve Bamberg of Winter Haven, Florida; 2 sisters – Juanita Murphy of Winter Haven, Florida and Joanne (Marvin) Coleman of Auburndale, Florida; 17 Grandchildren – Samantha Fewox, Jessica Johnson, Mikayla (Matt) White, Andy (Jennifer) Bamberg, Troy (Ashley) Bonine, Lonnie (Samantha) Bamberg, Meagan Bamberg, Chasity Moore, Nathan (Fay) Bamberg, Melanie Bamberg, Daniel Bamberg, Tony Bamberg, Briana Bamberg, Amanda Smith, Joshua (Rebecca) Meyer, John (Amanda) Meyer Jr. and Chris Elledge; 30 great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 6^th at Auburndale Memorial Park, 1889 West Derby Avenue.
