Obituary of Betty Ann Jester

 Mrs. Betty Ann Jester, age 77 a resident of Auburndale, Florida passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Astoria Health & Rehab surrounded by her family. Mrs. Jester was born November 25, 1946 in Lapine, Alabama to David Carr and Ruby Estelle (Schofield) Ellis. She was an Auburndale resident of over 70 years coming from Alabama, graduated from Auburndale High School Class of 1965 and attended Polk Community College. She attended the First Presbyterian Church in Auburndale. Betty was the Owner & Operator of Caravan Fashions Clothing for 35 years. She was a past president & current member of the Auburndale Chamber of Commerce and a past member of the Auburndale Redevelopment Association. Betty enjoyed gardening, reading, socializing, watching old movies and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers – Joe David Ellis & Ronald Lee Ellis. Betty is survived by her loving & devoted family, husband of 58 years – Jack Jester; daughter – Jacqueline (John Dale) Whitehead; 2 brothers – Donnie Ray (Robyn) Ellis and Rickey Lane (Tammy) Ellis; sister Ruby Joan (Jerry) Lands; 2 grandsons – Joel Caleb Whitehead and Jarrett Michael (Callan) Whitehead and many adoring nieces & nephews. A celebration of Betty’s life will be held 4:00 pm Monday, January 22^nd at Kersey Funeral Home with a gathering beginning at 3pm at the funeral home. Everyone is invited immediately following the service to join us in honor of Betty. We will have some sharing of wonderful memories of Betty, some food and some good fellowship at the Ariana Beach Clubhouse, 321 Ramsgate Road, Auburndale.
