Obituary of Milford Vernon Morgan

Mr. Milford Vernon Morgan, age 98, a resident of Auburndale, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Good Shepherd Hospice. Mr. Morgan was born November 14, 1925 in Marion County, West Virginia to Omer King and Retha Dale (Toothman) Morgan. He was a resident of Auburndale since 1940 coming from West Virginia and graduated from Auburndale High School Class of 1944. Mr. Morgan was the 1^st Mailman of Auburndale retiring after 30 years. He was a United States Marine Veteran serving in World War II as a Rader Operator on the Marshall Islands and New Orleans. He was a member & deacon of East Temple Baptist Church in Auburndale and member of the American Legion Post 8 in Winter Haven. Milford enjoyed tennis, bowling and spending time with family & friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife – Louise Fenn Morgan; 2 sons – Richard Larry Morgan & Michael Gary Morgan; 2 brothers – Laco Morgan & June Morgan and 1 sister – France Tater. Mr. Morgan is survived by, daughter – Cheryl Hamilton VanDuser; nephew – Nelson (Judy) Morgan; 4 grandchildren – Michael Jr., Alanna, Jessica and Timothy (Kristen); 7 gt grandchildren – Khole, Michael,III, Arya, Mary, Zoey, Kayla and Allison; many extended family. Visitation will be Friday, November 24^th from 6-8 pm at Kersey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 am Saturday, November 25^th at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
