Obituary of Lonell Guy

Mrs. Lonell Guy, age 86 a resident of Buena Vista, Georgia passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at the Magnolia Manor of Marion Nursing Home in Georgia. Mrs. Guy was born March 18, 1937 in Cottonwood, Alabama to William L. and Merle (Bruner) Holmes. She was a resident of Buena Vista, Georgia since 2013 coming from Auburndale where she was a resident for over 70 years. Lonell was a retired Citrus Grader for Minute Maid-Coca Cola Foods and a member of Lena Vista Baptist Church in Auburndale. Lonell enjoyed cooking, playing cards, fishing and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband – Ledon Guy in 2007; granddaughter – Brandy Guy and brother – WT Holmes. Lonell is survived by her loving family, 4 sons – Gary (Arlette) Guy, Donald (Diane) Guy, Rex (Colette) Guy and DeWayne (Angel) Guy; 8 grandchildren – Wendell, Shane, Derek, Krista, Jared, Jonathan, Brittney & Zachary; 12 great grandchildren – Kortney, Heather, Brandon, Mykala, Alex, Alexis, Hailey, Alisa, Kynley, Brody, Kilian & Corbin; 5 great great grandchildren – Slate, Hadley, Dawson, Ryett & Laniey. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, October 25^th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
