Obituary for Martha Louise McGowen Martha Louise McGowen, 84, of Bradenton, Florida passed away October 13, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on March 10, 1939, in Blount County, Alabama to Eddie and Leo (Towsend) Denney. Louise loved to garden and was an avid bowler and dart thrower. She also loved to sing Karaoke and was a Tampa Bay Rays and Dallas Cowboys fan. Most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Louise is survived by: her husband of 14 years Billy; son Gary Christensen of Sarasota, Florida; daughters Gail Davis (Douglas) of Sebring, Florida, Carol Williams (Michael) of Lake Alfred, Florida, and Denise Grimes (Todd) of Auburndale, Florida, stepchildren, Bruce, Nancy S, Sherrie M, Julie P, grandchildren, Kala Mehler, Keri Grimes, Aaron Williams, Derik Davis, and Nicholas Davis, great-grandchildren, Hayden, Logan, Adalyn, Kendall, Dalilah, and Camden. She also leaves to cherish her memory, a beloved sister Virginia Ann Sweeney of Rock Island, Il. She was preceded in death by: her parents, son Donnie Gurdine, stepson Tim McGowen, 7 sisters and one. brother. The family will receive friends at Kersey Funeral Home on October 24, 2023, 12:00PM - 1:00PM Memorial services will be at 1PM with Pastor Bud Porter officiating. Thank you for your support.
