Obituary of Savannah Jo Broxton Smith

Miss Savannah Jo Broxton Smith, age 26 a resident of Auburndale passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Savannah was born July 26, 1997 in Lakeland, FL. to Chad Douglas and Elizabeth Ann (Broxton) Smith. She was a lifetime Auburndale resident and graduated from Auburndale High School Class of 2015 where she played on the Volleyball team. She continued her education at Polk State College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Cosmetology Degree from Lee County Technical School. She was the Owner/Operator of Hair By Savannah Jo working at Curls Up & Dye in Auburndale and also a Marketing Manager for Chick-fil-A.  Savannah enjoyed traveling, hiking, adventure, nature, beach volleyball and loved to spend time with her family. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather – Donald Eugene Smith. Savannah Jo is survived by her loving family, mother – Beth Smith; father – Chad Smith; 2 sisters – Hannah (Christopher) Wood and Annah Morgan (Marcus) Nieves; paternal grandmother – Evelyn Sue Mease; maternal grandparents – Dolphus & Peggy Broxton; boyfriend – Keevens Wallace; 2 aunts – Wendy (Slade) McLendon and Tami (Kendall) Eddy; uncle – Shane (Wendy) Smith; nephew – Broxton Wood; niece – Ainsley Wood; many cousins and her beloved dog Kingsley. A celebration of Savannah Jo’s life will be 6pm Monday, October 9^th at Lakes Church, 341 Polk City Rd. (Hwy 559), Auburndale. Please wear something colorful NO black clothing.
