Obituary of Charles "Kale" Caleb VanDuyn

Mr. Charles Caleb “Kale” VanDuyn, age 26, a resident of Polk City, Florida passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2023 due to an automobile accident. Charles was born January 23, 1997 in Saint Augustine, Florida to Charles Paul and Lorinda Sherina (Owens) VanDuyn, Jr. He attended Tenroc High School & Auburndale High School. Kale was a Maintenance Repairman in the Residential Pool Industry. He attended First Baptist Church in Polk City & Berea Baptist Church in Auburndale. Kale enjoyed music, fishing, playing video games, eating tacos, playing outside with his kids and loved to spend time with his family. He was preceded in death by his father. Kale is survived by his loving family, mother – Lorinda VanDuyn of Polk City, Florida; 2 sons – Levi Marquett Holman (8) and Jett Caleb VanDuyn (4) both of Polk City, Florida; daughter – Lola Jane VanDuyn (2) of Polk City, Florida; fiancé – Allison Leeann Hersberger of Polk City, Florida; 3 brothers – Anthony James “AJ” VanDuyn of Tennessee,   Charles Paul (Melissa) VanDuyn, III of Auburndale, Florida and Zaylen Charles Owens of Polk City, Florida; sister – Candi Rochelle Owens of Polk City, Florida; paternal grandfather – Charles Paul (Karen) VanDuyn of Brooksville, Florida; paternal grandmother – Cheryl Arbor of Lakeland, Florida; maternal grandparents – James & Lori Owens of Polk City, Florida. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday, September 20^th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 12 noon at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Green Pond Cemetery in Polk City.
