Obituary of Joshua Dylan Houle

Mr. Joshua “Dylan” Houle, age 19 a resident of Lake Alfred, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at home surrounded by his family & loved ones. Dylan was born November 5, 2003 in Haines City, Florida to Daniel Lewis and Mayra Liz (Villanueva Pruna) Houle. He was a lifetime Lake Alfred resident and attended the Karen Siegel Academy. Dylan enjoyed music, walks with his nurses & family, being read to, sitting on the dock listening to nature, the Mary Poppins movie,  listening to Yo Gabba Gabba, and loved to spend time with his family. Dylan had an infectious laugh and an even bigger smile. Anyone who met Dylan fell in love with him. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents – Alejo Villanueva Acevedo & Elsie Pruna Santiago and paternal grandfather’s – David Houston & Daniel Houle. Dylan is survived by his loving & devoted family, his parents Dan & Liz Houle of Lake Alfred, Florida; sister – Tiffany Mayra Dickson and husband Howie of Auburndale, Florida; paternal grandmother – Donna Slusser of Lake Alfred, Florida; 3 uncles – Nick Slusser of Lake Alfred, Florida, Sam Houston of Ohio & Jesse Villanueva Pruna and wife Ivy of Puerto Rico; aunt Janet Villanueva Pruna and husband Edwin of West Palm Beach, Florida and nephew – John Daniel Dickson of Auburndale, Florida. A memorial service will be held at 5:30 pm Friday, September 15th at Kersey Funeral Home. A celebration of Dylan’s life will be held Sunday, October 8th at the Auburndale Yacht Club, time will be determined at a later date.
