Obituary of Gary Allen Bragg, Sr.

Mr. Gary Allen Bragg, Sr. age 67, a resident of Auburndale, Florida passed away Monday, August 14, 2023 at Winter Haven Hospital surrounded by his family. Mr. Bragg was born December 5, 1955 in Eagle Lake, Florida to Sam and Mildred Lainey (Pittman) Bragg. He was a lifetime Polk County resident and graduated from Winter Haven High School. Gary was a Commercial Fisherman, worked for Mosaic Mines and Adams Building Supply & Trusses. He enjoyed fishing, more fishing, boating and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister – Sheila Tate. Gary is survived by his companion of 11 years – Debbie King of Auburndale, Florida; 3 sons – Gary Bragg, Jr. of Auburndale, Florida, Michael (Juanell) Bragg of Brooksville, Florida and Kenny King of Auburndale, Florida; 3 daughters – Payton Bragg of Winter Haven, Florida, Jennifer (Josh) McGee of Texas and Angel King of Auburndale, Florida; 3 brothers – Cleveland Bragg of Eagle Lake, Florida, Kevin Bragg of Auburndale, Florida and Danny Bragg of Zephyrhills, Florida; 7 sisters – Carla (Dan) Harris of Polk City, Florida, Sharla (Mike) Burgess of Lakeland, Florida, Marla (Gene) Homan of New Smyrna, Florida, Laverne Cascone of Robertsdale, Alabama, Shan Haggas of Melbourne, Florida, Phyllis (Chris) Vaughn of Tallahassee, Florida and Nora Elizabeth Quimby of Vero Beach, Florida; ex wife & friend – Pam Bragg (Frank) Gann of Winter Haven, Florida; grandchildren – Darius, Makinsey, Gary III, Sam, Landon, Jace, Paysleigh, Weston, Colby, Atom, Xander, Martin, Jaiven, James, Jaycee, Jillian and Jinger. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Friday, August 18^th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 2pm at the funeral home.
