Obituary of Dr. Dennis Ralph Keefer

Dr. Dennis Ralph Keefer, Aerospace Engineer, Professor Emiratis, age 84 a resident of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida passed away Sunday, July 16, 2023 at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville. Mr. Keefer was born September 22, 1938 in Winter Haven, Florida to Edward Parker and Ruth Roberta (Allen) Keefer. He was a resident of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida since May 2023 coming from Jacksonville & Polk County. Dennis was a member of the Jacksonville Free Thinkers Church, a craftsman who hand crafted guitars and a graduate of Auburndale High School. Mr. Keefer was a Professor Emiratis at the University of Tennessee Space Institute and the University of Florida. He traveled the world teaching Aero Space Engineering, Laser Weaponry to the Military and wrote many papers/articles about Aero Space Engineering. He was preceded in death by his parents. Dennis is survived by his wife of 48 years – Jeanette Keefer of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida; 4 children; brother – E. Allen Keefer and his wife Judie of Auburndale, Florida; grandchildren & great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in Professor Keefer’s name to; The American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, Maryland, 21741. An inurnment service will be held 11am August 12^th at Auburndale Cemetery.
