Obituary of Adelia "Dee Dee" Horne

Ms. Adelia "Dee Dee" Horne, age 89, went to be with the Lord on July 11, 2023. Dee Dee entered into life on March 25, 1934, in Barboursville, West Virginia to the late, Thomas J. Nash, Sr. and Roberta B. Dillon. Dee Dee worked as a beautician at the Beauty Walk Hair Salon in Winter Haven, Florida for 12 years, Carlton Music for 5 years, Polk Nursery for 5 years, and Com Car Industries where she was an employee for 22 years. On her down time, Dee Dee looked forward to painting and drawing. She also loved being a part of her Bible Study group at First Missionary Baptist Church in Auburndale, Fl., and rejoiced in a good game of bowling, tennis or ping pong even in her latter years. Dee Dee was a proud member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Auburndale, Fl.

Ms. Horne is survived by her loving family; son, Dave (Kathy) Horne of Hilton Head Island, SC.; son, Frank (Deanie) Horne of Melbourne, FL.; brother, Jude Nash of Covington, GA.; 2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and many other nieces, nephews and extended family. Dee Dee was preceded in death by her parents; sisters - Freda Nash, Loraine Sizemore, Catherine Morgan, and Janice Mills; Brothers - Charles Nash, Tom Nash and Gary Nash and many other loving family members that have left us.

A Memorial Service for Adelia "Dee Dee" Horne will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 27, 2023, at Kersey Funeral Home, 108 Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale, FL. with a gathering of friends and family from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Pastor David Price will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the First Missionary Baptist church of Auburndale, FL.
