Obituary of Barbara Ann Moore

Ms. Barbara Ann Moore, age 78, a resident of Auburndale went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Winter Haven Hospital surrounded by family. Ms. Moore was born January 29, 1945 in Vernon, FL. to Grady and Annie Dell (Syfrett) Moore. She was a lifetime Polk Co resident and graduated from Auburndale High School Class of 1963. Barbara was a retired Retail Buyer for Belk’s Department Store and also worked for Scotty’s in Auburndale for the Accounts Payable Office. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Polk City, where she served on the Bereavement Committee & Kitchen Committee, she was a past member of Lena Vista Baptist Church in Auburndale where she sang in the Choir & was a Sunday School Teacher. Barbara enjoyed spending time with her family & friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Barbara is survived by, 2 brothers – Alan (Joanne) Moore of Winter Haven, FL. and Karl (Sue) Moore of Orangeburg, SC.; several nieces, nephews & cousins. A memorial service will be 10:30 am Tuesday, May 30^th at First Baptist Church, 212 Hamolia Ave., Polk City.
