Obituary of Margaret "Virginia" Rogers

Mrs. Margaret “Virginia” Rogers, age 89 a resident of DeBary, FL. went home to Heaven on Friday, May 12, 2023 at her home surrounded by family. Mrs. Rogers was born November 18, 1933 in Mitchell County, GA. to Joseph R. and Alice L.  (Aycock) Bettison. She was a resident of DeBary for over 10 years, Summerland Key for over 20 years and lived in various other cities and states traveling for work and family. Virginia was a bookkeeper, homemaker and a commercial fishing partner with her husband. She was a member of Sugarloaf Baptist Church for many years before relocating and moving her membership to the First Baptist Church of DeBary. She enjoyed spending time with family & friends, church planting, traveling and serving the Lord. She was preceded in death by her parents & sister in law. Virginia is survived by her loving & devoted family, husband of 70 years – Len Rogers of DeBary; son – Lenis David (Deborah) Rogers, Jr. of Sanford; brother – Billy Joe Bettison of Seffner; 2 granddaughters – Lacey (Justin) Null of Ocklawaha and Amber (David) Schmidt of DeBary; 4 great grandchildren – Colton, Kinley, Piper & Brodie and numerous nieces, nephews & cousins. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, May 20^th at Kersey Funeral Home, with visitation before from 10-11 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
