Obituary of Ardis Virgene Bridegroom

Mrs. Ardis Virgene Bridegroom, age 79, a resident of Polk City, Florida passed away Friday, November 18, 2022 at her home surrounded by family. Mrs. Bridegroom was born January 19, 1943 in Kokomo, Indiana to Noble Fay and Frances Virgene (Goodnight) Anthony. She was a homemaker and a resident of Polk City since 1975 coming from Kokomo, Indiana. Ardis was the owner & operator of Ardis’s Kountry Kraft’s in Winter Haven and worked as the secretary for her daughter at Bower Enterprises, Inc. in Polk City. She enjoyed cooking, fishing, sewing, scrapbooking, painting on wood, traveling with her husband and spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her parents; son – Philip Thomas Bridegroom; granddaughter – Katrina; 3 brothers – Butch, Buck and Bob. Ardis is survived by her loving & devoted family, husband of 62 ½ years – Phil Bridegroom of Polk City, Florida; son – Ricky Bridegroom and wife Becky of Alturas, Florida; daughter – Cathy Bower and husband Todd of Polk City, Florida; daughter in law – Valerie Bridegroom of Polk City, Florida; 3 grandchildren – Andrew (Nikki), Kayla (Garen) and Micheal; 6 great grandchildren – Ty, Kassie, Eli, McKenzie, Chase and Cayden. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday, November 26^th at Kersey Funeral Home, with visitation beginning at 10 am at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
