Obituary of Martha Naomi Leighton

Martha Leighton (Gmom) died at age 80 in Lakeland, Florida on 8 June 2022. She was sleeping peacefully when she went, with her family by her side. She was was loving and a devoted great grandma, grandmother, friend, and to all whose lives she touched. She was an anchor for a family, she kept us a float and was always there for us whenever we needed her. Her smile light any room she walked in and always made you laugh. She was born and raised in Salem, South Caroline by her parents Doris and Joe Sprinkle. She later moved down to Winter Haven,Florida and she started her own cosmetology salon. She never stoped, she was always working to make sure her family had everything they wanted, she sacrificed so much for so many people. She loved her family more than anything in this world and always made sure we knew that. She was the beloved mother of Catherine Lynn and Doyle Lamar Leighton. Martha is survived by her partner Benny Willis Jr., grandchildren Nicole Mott, Bobby Rittinghouse, and Leigh Julian, great grandchildren Cameryn Crumley, Makylah Mott, Matryx Mott, Jordan Mott, Alyssa Crumley, Kailyn Crumley, Tinnley Rittinhouse, Brick Rittinghouse, Travis Matthew’s, Ivan Matthews, Lamar Mott, Great grandchild Remington Ray Brooks.

Funeral will be held this Saturday July 9th at 2pm at The Kerseys Funeral Home in Auburndale, FL.
