Obituary of Peggy Annette Hester

Mrs. Peggy Annette Eubanks Hester left this earth to be with the Lord on August 3, 2021. Peggy was born in Huntsville, Alabama on October 2, 1937. Peggy lived in Alabama until moving to the Auburndale, Florida area in the late 1950's. She raised her two sons Steve and Ronald here in Auburndale. Peggy worked for many years at Winter Haven Hospital as a housekeeper. Peggy had many friends throughout her life, but was fortunate to have especially wonderful friendships with Shelby Johnson, Margaret Sturgis, Marie Robinson and Louise Edwards. They enjoyed together many lunches, shopping trips, and yard sales. Upon her retirement from the Hospital, Peggy spent many hours with her grandchildren interspersed with trips to North Carolina. Besides making the most delicious cornbread, she will be remembered for her kind and caring manner, her joy in making quilts for her grandchildren and her inability to sit by when someone needed help. She is preceded in death by her mother Myrtle Davis Eubanks and her father Lee Arnold Eubanks, her brothers Vernal Lee Eubanks, Gerald Eubanks, and her sisters, Louise Inman, Monta Mae McCullough, and her oldest son, Steve Allen Hester. Peggy is survived by her son, Ronald Hester, her grandsons, Dayne Allen Hester, Garrett Hester (Lisa) and Grant Hester (Christiana). Her great grandchildren, Madison, Paytin, Steven, Katlyn, Danielle (Mike), Ethan, Jayce, and RaeLynn. And her Great Great grandchildren Katalyna and Owen.

A memorial graveside farewell for Peggy will be held at a date to be determined.
