Obituary of Lori Lea Kelley Roy

Mrs. Lori Lea Kelley Roy, age 58 a resident of Lakeland went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, July 12, 2021 at Lakeland Regional surrounded by family. Mrs. Roy was born July 17, 1962 in Orlando, Florida to Ronald Hughes and Beverly (Smith) Kelley. Lori was a lifetime Polk County resident, graduated from Auburndale High School Class of 1980 where she was in the band, chorus and drama. She continued her education at Manatee Community College. She was a homemaker and worked 25 years in the child daycare field before retiring in 2015.  She was a member of the Harvest Assembly of God Church in Lakeland. Lori enjoyed traveling, camping, hiking, animals, cooking and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her paternal & maternal grandparents.  Lori is survived by her loving husband of 34 years – Lee Roy of Lakeland; 2 daughters – Rebecca Roy and Makayla Roy both of Lakeland; brother – Kevin (Bobbi) Kelley of Auburndale; sister – Debbie Burton of Palmetto; parents – Ron & Bea Kelley of Auburndale; nephew – Andrew (Ashley) Kelley; niece – Kelley Burton; 4 great nieces; 1 great nephew and many extended family & friends. Funeral service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, July 20th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
