William H. Bryant
11/23/36 Gladstone, VA- 6/27/21 Auburndale, FL
William was a guitar player on a local radio station in Virginia at the age of 16.  He played all kinds of music including bluegrass, country and gospel.  He died on 6/27/21 at the age of 84 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, FL.  He served in the U.S. Navy on the U. S. S. John Hood, a Navy ship, that was filmed in the movie "Away All Boats".  The heavenly choir has gained a new member.  He sang in the choir at Lena Vista Baptist for many years.  He grew up in a house filled with 7 brothers and 3 sisters on a mountaintop in Gladstone,VA.  He was employed locally by Comcar Industries (Clay Hyder and CTL divisions) and retired from there in 2006.  He was married in Gatlinburg, TN  on 8/18/85 to his wife, Rebecca "Becky" Bryant, of Auburndale, FL.  He has 7 children;  Bruce Eldridge, Ronny Clements and 4 others and  1 deceased.  He had many grandchildren including Carrie Hollifield and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  His bonus family was Jaime Sasnett, a step- daughter, Jenna Sasnett, a step- granddaughter and 2 step- great- grandchildren, Paris and Preston Roberts.  Family, friends, neighbors, former co-workers and church members at Lena Vista Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Auburndale  are among those invited to attend.  If you are unable to attend the service, it will be streamed live on the funeral home website at Kerseyfuneralhome.com.

The family of Mr. William will receive friends at Kersey Funeral Home 108 L:ake Stella Drive Auburndale, FL 33823 on Saturday ~ August 7, 2021  from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M.
