Obituary of Lisa Marie Gibson

Mrs. Lisa Marie Gibson, age 39 a resident of Winter Springs, Florida formally of Auburndale passed away Friday, June 25, 2021 surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. Mrs. Gibson was born June 14, 1982 in Winter Haven to Michael E. and Anita M. (Bruce) Smith. Lisa graduated from Auburndale High School Class of 2000 where she was active in school & travel volleyball and softball. She continued her education at Polk Community College and University of Central Florida where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Lisa worked for Lakeland Regional Medical Center as a Surgical Nurse, Winter Haven Consulate as a Registered Nurse and Vitas Hospice of Orlando as a Registered Nurse. She was a fan of all Florida Gator sports, enjoyed going with her husband to the beach, spending time with her family and loved her animals. Lisa was a special person and will be truly missed by all. She was preceded in death by her paternal & maternal grandparents. Lisa is survived by her loving and devoted family, husband of 13 years – Bryce Gibson of Winter Springs, FL.; mother – Anita Smith of Winter Haven, FL.; father & stepmother – Mike & Cheryle Smith of Mulberry, FL.; sister – Lora Michelle Smith of San Diego, CA.; stepbrother – Ethan Kyle (Raiya) Marquis of Palm Bay, FL. and niece – Emersyn. A celebration of Lisa’s life will be held 2:00 pm Friday, July 9th with a gathering beginning at 1:30 pm and storytelling after the celebration of life. All will be held at Adams Estate, 2222 Lake Alfred Rd., Lake Alfred, FL. 33850. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to; The Humane Society or any animal shelter of choice. Kersey Funeral Home is helping the Gibson Family.
