Bernice Barrington

Obituary of Bernice H. Barrington

Bernice Barrington was born July 26, 1955 in Arcadia, Florida. She grew up in Lakeland and later moved to Zephyrhills, where in August of 1970, she met the soldier in the photo and love of her life, Bobby Barrington. On April 1, 1971, before God, they joined hands and hearts, vowing to always protect and love one another. Their bond, like no other could ever be broken. They built their life and started their family. She gave birth to three daughters and one son. Opal May Barrington, Myra Anne Barrington, Mary Ann Barrington and Robert Garfield Barrington. She was later blessed with seven grandchildren, number eight on the way, and three great grandchildren.

She taught us how to love, work hard, care for others, and enjoy the simple things in life like watching the sun rise and set, looking at the moon, playing in the rain, looking for rainbows, looking at the stars, just taking a ride, and never forget, dance when you mop!

She was also passionate about her hobbies. If you knew her, you knew her passion for gardening and planting. The healthiest gardens and prettiest flowers were found in her yard. She created unforgettable treasures that could never be replaced with arts and crafts. Her adventurist side taught us how to find the prettiest seashells, collect rocks from the rivers, and pick the wild flowers along the way. Her heart and soul went into everything she planted, crafted, or set out to find.

Bernice had a heart of gold that not only shined, but also still shines through each of us. Her love as a wife, mother, and grandmother can never fade.

We honor her amazing love, strength, and faith in God.

Dance in the sky Momma!

Sing with the Angels!

We love you! We miss you!
