Obituary of Grabiela Martinez Rios

Mrs. Grabiela Martinez Rios, age 78 a resident of Auburndale passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Winter Haven Hospital surround by family. Mrs. Martinez was born September 30, 1942 in Matagorda County, Texas to Victoria (Garcia) Martinez. She was an Auburndale resident since 1960 coming from Michigan. She was a homemaker and attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winter Haven. Grabiela enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking, baking, word search puzzles and loved spending time with family. She was preceded in death by her mother; 3 sons – Socorro, Lee & David; 2 brothers – Arturo & Pedro and 2 granddaughters – Sonya & Victoria. Grabiela is survived by her loving husband of 46 years – Julio Rios of Auburndale; 4 daughters – Lucy Gomez, Edith Vasquez and Maria-Antonia Vasquez all of Texas, and Luzdelia (Marcelino) Moreno of Alabama; 24 grandchildren – Michael, Lucinda, Bernard, Benjamin, Scottie, Exenia, Luzeleniaa, Sonia, David, Joey, Karina, Andrea, Christopher, Keyasa, Amber, Casey, Victoria, Lionel, Christopher, Adriana, Maria, Sylvia, Crystal and Stephanie; many, many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. A visitation will be held Thursday, January 14th from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at Kersey Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10:00 am Friday, January 15th at the Funeral Home with interment to follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
