Obituary of Joanne Bland

Mrs. Joanne Bland, age 67 a resident of Lakeland passed away Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Good Shepherd Hospice Lakeland surrounded by her devoted family. Mrs. Bland was born March 1, 1953 in Panama City, Florida to Lorenzo Jack and Catherine (Davis) Sowell. She graduated from Bay High School in Panama City. She was a homemaker and attended First Baptist Church in Polk City with her family. Joanne enjoyed spending time with family & friends. She was preceded in death by her parents. Joanne is survived by her loving husband of 46 years – Larry Bland of Lakeland; 2 daughters – Catherine “Marie” Hufschmidt and husband Joey of Auburndale and Helen Kline and husband Kris of Arizona; brother – Jackie Sowell of Panama City; 3 sisters – Janice Pope and husband Chris, Jenell Alley and Geneva Welch and husband James all of Panama City; 7 grandchildren – Stephanie Ross and husband Brendon of Lakeland, Austin Pleimann of Panama City, Kayla Pleimann of Iowa, Bryce Kline of Arizona, Joseph Hufschmidt, Caleb Hufschmidt and Madison Hufschmidt all of Auburndale. Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Thursday, December 17th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
