Obituary of Roland Carson Bozeman

Mr. Roland Carson Bozeman, lovingly called RC by friends and family, passed away on July 13, 2020 in Lakeland, FL at 80 years of age. RC was born on May 2, 1940 to Rabon (Blackie) and Mary Elinor Bozeman in Winter Haven, FL. He was raised in Arburndale, FL where he met his wife, Betty. They moved to Dallas, Tx in 1971. Where they lived for 15 years before moving back to Florida. The eventually landed in Lakeland, FL where he lived out the rest of his life.

 

RC was a paint contractor since 1958. It was his life long dream to own and operate his own business, he started RC Bozeman Painting in 1976. He painted the set of the famous TV show Dallas. RC used his skills of painting to help with charitable organizations such as Paint Your Heart Out Lakeland to paint houses of people in need.

 

RC retired in 2000 at the age of 60. He spent his retirement days spending time with his wife and family, golfing, and he enjoyed going to Bible study. RC was a God fearing man who was an active in member in every church he attended.

 

RC was preceded in death by his parents. He survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty; daughter Christine (Pedro) Perez; son Scot (Beatrice) Smith; son John (Brenda) Bozeman; daughter Debra (David) Gallison; son Ronald (Peggy) Smith; son David Lent; son Kurt Lent; daughter Rhonda (Randy) Hagood; daughter Star (Chance) Anderson; 13 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and his sister Sharon Wadley. He was cherished by his family and he will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
