Obituary of Barbara Jean Copeland
Mrs. Barbara Jean Copeland, age 73, a resident of Winter Haven, Florida passed away Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Winter Haven Hospital. Mrs. Copeland was born January 28, 1946 in Polk County, Florida to Andrew William and Ethel Cleo (Steadman) Dailey. She was a lifetime Polk County resident, a homemaker, attended Auburndale High School and was a member of Kathleen Baptist Church. Barbara enjoyed being a caregiver to people, cooking, watching the gators play football and loved to spend time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson-Mitchell Taylor; 5 sisters-Shirley, Jewell, Hadley, Beatrice & Virginia and 2 brothers-Luther & Junior. Barbara is survived by her husband of 34 years-Jimmy Copeland of Winter Haven, Florida; son-Darryl (Libby) Cheshire of Forest City, North Carolina; 2 daughters-Cynthia O’Steen and Janet Taylor both of Winter Haven, Florida; stepson-Todd (Susan) Copeland of Auburndale, Florida; 2 stepdaughters-Vickie of Polk City, Florida and Beverly More of Lakeland, Florida; 13 grandchildren- Megan, Christy, Jessica, Steven, Cody, Heath, Brian, Tiffany, Aaron, Kaylee, Kristen, Austin & Ian and 20 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 6:00 pm Friday, January 17th at Kersey Funeral Home, 108 Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale, Florida.
