Obituary of Eddie Royce Brewer

Lieutenant Eddie Royce Brewer, age 88 a resident of Auburndale, Florida passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018 at his home. Lieutenant Brewer was born February 5, 1930 in El Dorado, Arkansas to Charles and Annie (Rhodes) Brewer. He was an Auburndale resident for the past 9 years coming from Lake Mary, Florida. He graduated from El Dorado High School and Washington University with a Master’s Degree in Engineering. Eddie was a retired United States Navy Lieutenant after 22 years of service and where he also was the Teacher for Design Engineering at the San Diego Naval Base. He was a member of the NRA & VFW. Eddie enjoyed gardening, growing roses, collecting trains, guns, fishing, Indian memorabilia and spending time with his family.  He was preceded in death by his parents; wife – Jeannie; son – Lawrence; sister – Janice and 2 brothers – Jack & Charles.Eddie is survived by his loving family; 2 Sons: Brian S. Brewer and partner Gary Semens of Hawi, Hawaii, Charles Eddie Brewer and wife Sherry of Indianapolis, Indiana, 3 Daughters: Sheila Kaye Correira of Davenport, Florida, Cathy Jean Sigmund and husband Bill of Murphy, North Carolina, Mary Ann Brewer of Dubois, Wyoming, Brother: Red Brewer and wife Patricia of Livingston, Texas, 9 Grandchildren:  Katie, Tristan, Melonie, Cathleen, Angela, Kristina, Suzanna, Kelsey & Sarah, 13 Great Grandchildren:  Abagail, Hannah, Emily, Olivia, Colby, Jacob, Isabella, Annalisa, Carolina, Kaelyn, Ryan, Haylee  & Ashton .     

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 5th at Kersey Funeral Home. Visitation will begin 10:00 AM at the funeral home.

Interment will follow with Military Honors at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell @ 2:00 PM
