Obituary of Herbert L. Lindsey

Mr. Herbert Lindsey age 93, a resident of Auburndale passed away Tues. Aug. 21, 2018 at Good Shepherd Hospice. Mr. Lindsey was born July 16, 1925 in Tifton, GA. to William Wright and Jessie (Mullis) Lindsey. He was an Auburndale resident for over 50 yrs. coming from Georgia. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in World War II. He was a retired maintenance worker for General Foods and a member of Eastside Baptist Church in Lakeland. Herbert enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading, westerns and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife – Hattie Belle Lindsey; daughter – Mildred Ginn; 5 brothers; 3 sisters and 3 gt grandsons.Herbert is survived by his loving family; 3 Sons: Larry Lindsey of Auburndale, FL., Stanley (Paula) Dukes of Winter Haven, FL., Howard Dukes of Lake Wales, FL. 3 Daughters: Mary Alice (Paul) Thomas of Auburndale, FL. Sue Norris of Fruitland Park, FL.,Crisha (Curtis) Stephens of Lakeland, FL., Brother: Jack (Julie) Lindsey of York, PA, 3 Sisters:Katherine (Hugh) Webb of Tifton, GA., Martha Jane (Earl) Shannon of Omega, GA., Edna (Bill) Willis of Omega, GA., 17 Grandchildren, 20 Gt. Grandchildren, 17 Gt. Gt. Grandchildren.                      

Visitation will be Sat. Aug. 25, 2018 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Kersey Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Sun. Aug. 26th at the funeral home. Interment will follow with military honors at Auburndale Memorial Park.
