Obituary of Joann Stewart Marsh

Mrs. Joann Stewart Marsh, age 84, was born to Hubert and Ressie Mae (Flowers) Stewart and lived her entire life in Winter Haven. She was the middle child of 3, graduated from Winter Haven High School Class of 1951 and married in August of 1951. She was a homemaker and also a retired Polk County School Bus Attendant. Joann was an active member of "The Way @ Inwood Baptist Church". She lived her life as an example of being a Christian wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother. Every Sunday she could be found taking care of the babies in the church nursery, for over the past 55 yrs. During her days she enjoyed good competition in many of her beloved sports (Winter Haven High School Booster Club & member of the NRA). Mr. & Mrs. Marsh did not miss a Winter Haven Blue Devil football game for over 40 yrs. together they attended countless softball and baseball games played by their boys and grandchildren. She treasured the special times her family has spent at Little Gasparilla Island, fishing & hunting in the Ocala National Forest. Joann loved to prepare huge delicious homemade meals for her family and friends. She has always been the first to give, cook, do and share with others through so much love & generosity. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband - Delmus Eli Marsh and sister - Joyce. Joann is survived by her loving & devoted family; 3 Sons: Delmus Lynn (Susan) Marsh of Winter Haven Stephen (Esther) Marsh of Winter Haven Richard Dwight (Charlotte) Marsh of Winter Haven Brother: Eldon (Tacy) Stewart of Bartow 5 Grandchildren: Stephen Tyler (Kayla) Marsh of Tampa Brittany (Ryan) Kuhn of Bartow Heather (Tyler) Sigler of Wesley Chapel Brooke Marsh of Winter Haven SaraJane (Stephen) McMachen of Lakeland 5 Great Grandchildren: Aubrey, Ava, Brayden, Autumn & Brinley Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Saturday, July 22nd at The Way @ Inwood Baptist Church, 1301 33rd St., NW, Winter Haven with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM.
