Obituary of Jimmy Clyde Hicks

Jimmy Clyde Hicks, 77, of Auburndale, Florida passed away March 2, 2024, at Winter Haven Hospital. He was born on August 18, 1946, in Louisville, Mississippi to Jesse Hicks and Bessie (Wylie) Hicks.

Jimmy was a maintenance manager with Cantex for 39 years. He loved music, Bible study and spending time with his family, especially at holidays when the family would get together. His legacy centers around being a loyal husband and loving father. Those who knew Jimmy, without a doubt loved him. He was kind to all and a friend to be counted on. He is one that will truly be missed by many.

Jimmy is survived by his sister Mary Maude Shaw, Conway, AR., sons Jimmy Steven Hicks and Gary Lee Hicks both of Auburndale, FL., daughter Tara Lynette Jackson of Auburndale, FL., seven grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife Lilly May Collins, Auburndale, FL.,
