Obituary for Bertha Lee Cauthen Bertha Lee Cauthen, 97, of Auburndale, Florida passed away January 25, 2024, at home surrounded by her family. She was born on November 15, 1926, in Crenshaw County, Alabama to Oliver and Martha (Carlisle) Davis. She was lifelong member of Lena Vista Baptist Church and worked 50 plus years at Adams Packing Association. After retiring from Adams, she worked in the office at Newbern Air Conditioning in Auburndale, Florida. Bertha was known to be the best cook by many who knew her. Her recipes are still being used by many family members and friends. Those left to cherish her memories are: 3 children; Jan Verdi, Dennis (Buddy) Cauthen, and Rickey Cauthen. 8 grandchildren; Anthony Verdi, Amanda Cauthen, Raigan Watkins, Kacey Lyons, Kristina Strange, Morgan Perkins, John W Verdi, and Brandy Mattix. 10 great grandchildren; Landyn Ferdula, Nikki Tennison, Megan Mattix, Bryson Mattix, Price Verdi, Maverick Verdi, Liam Watkins, Levi Watkins, Ezra Lyons, and Emery Wambles. Brother Wayne Davis and his wife Elaine, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by: her parents, husband Emmett Cauthen; sisters, Eubie Saunders and Alma Roberts; brother Lewis Davis and granddaughter Christina Cauthen. Special message from your kids, "Mom go rest high on the mountain now with Daddy", he's been waiting on you for 25 years. As much as you will be missed by so many, we know for sure that you are in God's care now. The family will receive friends at Lena Vista Baptist Church on January 31, 2024, 12PM - 1PM Funeral services will be at 1PM with Pastor Jerry Smith officiating. Interment will be at Auburndale Memorial Park. Thank you for your support.
