Obituary of Georgia Ann Steadman

Mrs. Georgia Ann Steadman, age 79, a resident of Winter Haven, Florida passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2023 at Advent Hospital of Lake Wales.  Mrs. Steadman was born February 8, 1944 in Hamilton County, Florida to Roy Wallace and Eula Mae (Allen) Perry, Sr. She was a resident of Winter Haven for over 70 years, graduated from Winter Haven High School Class of 1962 and attended Polk Community College. Georgia retired after 40 years of service from State Farm as an Accounting Specialist. She was a member of Kings Church in Winter Haven where she played the piano and sang. She volunteered for “Give Kids the World” & “Girls Inc”. She enjoyed traveling, reading, going to church, her dog Lolita, playing piano, southern cooking and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters – Elizabeth Sluzar & Margie Childs; daughter in law – Laura “Candi” Steadman and sister in law – Brenda Perry. Georgia is survived by her loving family, son – Garland “Ray” Steadman of Winter Haven, Florida; daughter – Jean Keator of Orlando, Florida; 3 brothers – Wallace (Susan) Perry, Jr., Robbie (Angie) Perry & Tom Perry all of Winter Haven, Florida; sister – Judy Malasky of Lakeland, Florida; 5 grandchildren – Joseph (Katie) Tessitore of Dallas, Texas, Clark (Desiree) Keator of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Laura (Nick) DePinto of Dallas, Texas, Tyler (Brianna) Shockley of Ft. Pierce, Florida & Brittney Shockley of Lakeland, Florida; 10 great grandchildren – Joey, Nicholas, Benjamin, Clark, Alexandra, Joe, Emily, Evan, Shane & Ridge. A memorial service will be 10:00 am Tuesday, January 23rd at Kersey Funeral Home.
