Obituary of Bonnie Louise Frost

Bonnie Louise Frost

July 3, 1941 - December 14, 2023

Our family is celebrating the life of Bonnie Louise Frost with heavy hearts; a woman truly devoted to her family and to all those she touched throughout her lifetime; always ensuring the needs of others were met before her own.  We are eternally grateful to have been in her presence at Winter Haven Hospital and Good Shepherd Hospice at the time of her passing on Thursday, December 14, 2023, at 82 years old.

Bonnie L. Frost was married to David Walker Frost for 59 years who passed away on November 3rd, 2022.  Bonnie is survived by her daughter Anna Lea Frost; son William David Frost and daughter-in-law Cheryl Anne Frost; and grandsons Thomas and Matthew Frost. She is also survived by her sister-in-law Helen Doan, brothers-in-law Stan Frost and Bob White alongside nieces and nephews and extended family.

Bonnie Frost was born in Buffalo, New York. Her parents were immigrants from England and first settled in Ontario, Canada, and later moved to the United States where Bonnie and her brother Raymond Baker were raised. Bonnie graduated from Kenmore High School in 1959 and married David W. Frost on September 21st, 1963.  They moved to New Jersey and Ohio before returning to upstate New York.  During this time, Bonnie worked in the secretarial staff for Art Modell, owner of the Cleveland Browns. After returning to New York, she started a family and served as a stay-at-home Mother where she dedicated her life to her two children and husband.  Later in life, Bonnie found her passion for decorating in floral design and worked for Enchanted Florist in Lewiston and Niagara Falls, NY.  She had an eye for design and it turned into her career where she was able to showcase her creativity and individuality as an artist.  Her nickname became “Bonnie the Bow Maker”.  Bonnie and her husband David ultimately retired to Lake Alfred, Florida to be close to her grandchildren.

In Florida, Bonnie was blessed to have found her own extended family at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church under the leadership of Father Paul.  Bonnie had tremendous unwavering faith and was graciously welcomed as a part of the church community with open arms.  She was blessed to have developed friendships and a place to worship her beliefs, which she held steadfastly close to her heart throughout her lifetime.

From the Frost family… “Mom, your unconditional love and compassion for all the lives you have touched will be forever ingrained in our hearts; we acknowledge your sacrifices knowing wholeheartedly your Faith is and always will be surrounding us; your greatest gift (a gift that exceeds lifetimes and has an eternal presence).”

Bonnie Louise Frost will be interred with her husband David Walker Frost in the Gardens at St, Paul’s Episcopal Church. Winter Haven, Florida.  It is a place that exudes peace, rest, faith, and solace.
