Obituary of James Thomas Crane, Jr.

It is with great sadness that the family of James Thomas Crane Jr., announces his passing on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the age of 69. Mr. Crane was born February 16, 1949 in Birmingham, AL. to James Thomas & Mary Frances (Martin) Crane, Sr. He was an Auburndale resident for 60 yrs. coming from AL. James graduated from Auburndale High School Class of 1968, he was a Band Patron for over 20 yrs. and worked in the past with the youth at Mt. Olive Baptist Church & 1st Baptist of Polk City. He retired from McLane Company after 19 yrs. of service. He attended Gateway Assembly of God Church and enjoyed photography, boating, gardening roses and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents. James is survived by his loving & devoted family; Wife of 50 yrs.: Marilyn Crane of Auburndale, Son: Jason Crane of Punta Gorda, Daughter: Amie (Forrest) Hammock of Winter Haven, 2 Brothers:Douglas (Pam) Crane of Huntsville, AL., Linn (Kathi) Crane of Auburndale, 2 Sisters:Blanche Boatfield of Auburndale, Rhonda Crosby of Lakeland, 4 Grandchildren: Brittany (Alex) Amato of Punta Gorda, Dustin (Jessica) Crane of Port Charlotte, Levi Hammock of Winter Haven, Aubry Hammock of Winter Haven, 3 Gt. Grandchildren: Bradley, Mia & Lily, Also, all extended family & friends.
