Obituary of Maxine Alltop
Mrs. Maxine L. Alltop, age 77, passed away Thursday, May 03, 2018 at the Sarasota Hospice House with her family at her side. Maxine was a long-time resident of Winter Haven, but for the last eight years was a full time resident of Venice, Florida. Maxine was born March 18, 1941, in Parkersburg, West Virginia to parents Lawrence Montgomery and Goldie (Sweeney) Montgomery. Hobbies - She was very involved in bowling leagues and became a very good bowler. She also loved making any type crafts, had a special interest in making dolls and crocheted baby blankets. Loved decorating her home, especially at holidays. Her greatest love was her dogs. She loved her children, but her dogs made her happy every day. Work - Maxine had a long time position as a bookkeeper at Cypress Gardens. She then changed her focus and went to work in the deli at Winn Dixie until her health caused her to take early retirement. With much sadness, she was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Donald and Junior Montgomery, four sisters Virginia Murray, Juanita Chizmark, Janet Piper, Helen Montgomery, and her son Steven Alltop. Maxine is survived by: 2 Sisters - Nancy and her husband “Bud” Bowersock - Belpre, Ohio, Doris and her husband Gaylord Riffle - Reynoldsburg, Ohio,
2 Children - Ricky Alltop and his wife Tauni - Grove City, Ohio, Dr. Vicky Singleton, Ed.D. and her husband Scott - Venice, Florida, 6 Grandchildren - Ja-Kee Alltop and her husband Eddie Sisneros, Joshua Alltop and his wife Alexandria Alltop, Christine Gallo, Bethany Gallo, Alicia Alltop, Zachary Alltop.
Three Great Grandchildren - Asher Alltop, Myra Alltop, and Kaia Pandorf and several nieces and nephews.
We will all miss her greatly!

A " Celebration of Life" will be held at 10:00 AM at Kersey Funeral Home, 108 East Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale, Florida 33823. Interment will follow at Rollings Hills Cemetery in Winter Haven.
