Obituary of Birdie Myers

Mrs. Birdie Lou Allen Myers, age 66, a resident of Lake Alfred, Florida passed away Friday, March 6, 2009 at the Good Shepherd Hospice Residential Center in Auburndale due to Cancer. Mrs. Myers was born November 20, 1942 in Hamilton County, Florida to Ivey and Lois (Wynn) Allen. Birdie was a resident of Lake Alfred for the past 48 years. She was a homemaker, loved to fish, hunt, travel and adored her grandchildren. She was of the Baptist Faith. Birdie is survived by her loving family: Husband of 49 years, Jerry Myers, Sr. of Lake Alfred, FL; 1 son, Jerry (Christine) Myers Jr., of Lake Alfred, FL; 1 daughter, Lucinda (Dean) Patten of Lake Alfred, FL; 1 sister, Gloria (Tom) Aldridge of Lake Alfred, FL. She was "MAMO" to everyone. 6 grandchildren, Jeremy, Jonathan, Lacey, Dustin, Eddie & Adam; 3 great grandchildren, Aidan, Aylassa & Taylor. In lieu of flowers the family request's donation's in Mrs. Myer's name to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Avenue, Auburndale, FL 33823. Graveside service will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Lake Alfred. Visitation will be held Monday, March 9, 2009 from 6:00 til 8:00PM at the Kersey Funeral Home, Auburndale.
