Obituary of William Smith

WINTER HAVEN - Mr. William Herbert Smith, age 74, a resident of Winter Haven, FL. Passed away Monday, June 1, 2009 at his residence due to heart failure. Mr. Smith was born October 4, 1934 in Conway, N.C. he has lived in the area for over 30 years, loved to fish, ride his motorcycle and drive his semi truck. He was of the Methodist faith and an owner/operator truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 son and 3 brothers. William is survived by his loving family: 1 son: Danny Lee Smith of Germany; 3 daughters: Brenda S. Cox of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., Linda Faye (Glen) Johnson of Fairfield, CA, Deyonnia (Frank) Yourn of Lakeland, FL, 3 brothers: Harry (Pam) Smith of Richmond, VA, David (Mae) Smith of Jacksonville, FL, Wayne Sayland of Maysville, N.C.; 1 sister: Eva Mae Smith of N.C.; companion: Elizabeth Hoover of Winter Haven, FL; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 5, 2009 at the Kersey Funeral Home with interment to follow at Auburndale Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 10:00 till 11:00 AM before services on Friday.
