Obituary of Dalia Torres

Dalia Torres, age 60, formerly of Queens, New York, passed on to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at the Good Shepherd Hospice after an extended illness. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother and friend. She was born on May 31, 1949 to Jose & Carmen Perez Gonzalez. She married Ismael Torres and in 2005 they moved to Auburndale, Florida She worshiped in the Catholic faith, enjoyed shopping, loved children and was a daycare provider for over 40 years. She is survived by her mother, husband, 2 daughters: Diane Lisa Torres and companion Evelyn of Queens, NY and Katherine Lynn Shaw and husband Larry of Brentwood, NY, a sister, Maria Laureano of Poinciana, FL; 3 grandchildren: Christina, Ismael and Kaitlyn. A Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 19, 2009 at 2:00PM at the Kersey Funeral Home.
