Obituary of Margaret Hanick

Margaret J. Hanick, age 71 of Winter Haven passed away Friday, July 24, 2009 at Tampa General Hospital, Tampa, Florida from complications caused by a stroke. Her husband, children and sisters were with her when she passed. Margaret was born in Winter Haven, Florida on February 24, 1938 to James W. & Lillian Porter Dull. Mrs. Hanick lived most of her life in Winter Haven with the exception of a short time in Santa Monica, California. She will be remembered for all of the love and help that she shared with her family, friends and the entire community. She also donated a tremendous amount of her time and talents to St. Joseph Catholic Church and School. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Ralph W. Hanick; a son, Jim Hanick and his wife Christine of Winter Haven; a daughter, Janie Meadows and her husband Brent of Auburndale; 6 grandchildren: Steven, Aaron, Amber, Logan, Collin and Rene; 2 sisters, Nickey Sprung of Port Charlotte, FL and Sharon Katanich of Winter Springs, FL A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 11:00AM, St. Joseph?s Catholic Church, 532 Avenue M NW, Winter Haven, FL 33880. Registration will be from 10:00AM until time of services. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers are requested to be made to St. Joseph Catholic School, 532 Avenue M NW, Winter Haven, FL 33880.
