Obituary of Penny Henderson

Penny Henderson of Winter Haven, FL died at home on Friday morning, May 14, 2010. Billy C. Henderson, husband of 24 years to Penny, has lost a devoted wife and friend. Penny was born in Bartow Florida on August 10, 1954 to William and Mollie Boutwell. She was a wonderful and caring mother to Malcolm C. Duggan, his wife Kerry, and Kimberly A. Duncan. Her two grandchildren Garrett Duggan and Mollie Duncan will miss their amazing, caring Nanny very much. Mrs. Henderson was an employee of Winter Haven Hospital for the last 23 years as Manager of the O.R. Scheduling department. She was a member of the Country Sounds band as bassist/vocalist in her twenties. Penny was a lifelong resident of Polk County. No words can express the immense loss her family feels. Penny is preceded in death by her parents and brother Byron Boutwell. She is survived by one brother William Boncil Boutwell and two sisters, Brenda Hardiman (Coy) and Dianne Hancock (John). There are also many loving nieces and nephews that are deeply saddened to lose their Aunt Penny. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2010 from 6:00PM ? 8:00PM at Kersey Funeral Home, 108 East Lake Stella Drive, Auburndale, Florida. Funeral Services will be held, Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 11:00AM at the Kersey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
