Obituary for Benedict Joseph Sporski

Benedict Joseph Sporski , 87 , of Auburndale , Florida passed away peacefully May 16, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on March 21, 1936 in Buffalo , New York to John and Stella (Kopiaz ) Sporski . Benedict served in the U.S. Army from 1959-1961 as a Military Policeman. He retired from Bethlehem Steel, Lackawanna, NY in 1992 and moved to Auburndale, FL. Never one to sit still, he worked part time at Lakeland Auto Auction in Florida. He also worked part time for the city of Lakeland during the Detroit Tigers spring training. He loved to bowl and play cards with friends when he retired at Lake Juliana Landings in Auburndale, FL.

Benedict is survived by: his loving wife of 63 years Josephine (Rozmus) Sporski; sons Michael (Sandra) Sporski and David (Lisa) Sporski; daughter Deborah (Scott) Cargill; grandchildren, Ryan Cargill, April (Mike) Rogers, Daren (Sarah) Sporski, Christopher (Sarah) Sporski, Alyxzandra Sporski, and Antonio Sporski; great-grandson Aiden.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, sisters, Victoria, Ann, Mary, and Theresa; brothers Anthony and John.
