Obituary of Wilma Jeanie Reed

Mrs. Wilma “Jeanie” Reed, age 88, a resident of Auburndale passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at Oak Haven Nursing Home. Mrs. Reed was born April 6, 1935 in Lucasville, Ohio to George and Ethel (Locke) Mercer. Jeanie was a longtime Auburndale resident and of the Protestant faith. Jeanie retired after 28 years as a NEKG Medical Technician for Winter Haven Hospital and she also retired as President of the Credit Union. She was a member for 31 years of the American Legion Post 8 Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her parents; son – Robert E. Reed, Jr.; brother – George Mercer; stepdaughter – Sara Reed and stepson – Paul Reed. Jeanie is survived by her grandson – Jacob Dylan Reed of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; 2 granddaughters – Cheyanne Reed & Regan Reed both of Winter Haven, Florida. There are no services scheduled.
