Obituary of Mildred Irene Thomas

Mrs. Mildred Irene Thomas, age 86, a resident of Auburndale, Florida passed away Monday, March 13, 2023 at Lakeland Regional with her family by her side. Mrs. Thomas was born February 28, 1937 in Winter Haven, Florida to Henry Franklin and Mary Leona (Langford) Rogers. She was a lifetime Polk County resident and graduated from Winter Haven High School. Mildred was a retired Cashier/Clerk for the County Food Stamp Office. She enjoyed watching TV, sewing and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; son – Joseph; brother – Flavus and 3 sisters – Marie, Mary & Betty. Mildred is survived by her loving family, son – Tony Denton of Auburndale, Florida; daughter – Sharon Andrews of Winter Haven, Florida; brother – James (Alece) Rogers of Bogart, Georgia; sister – Laurel Lea of Sebring, Florida; 4 grandchildren – Jessica, Jennifer, Jonathan & Michael and 6 great grandchildren – Madilyn, Jonathan, Emily, Jaxon, Chloe & Joscelyn. Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Friday, March 17^th at Kersey Funeral Home with visitation before from 2 -3 pm at the funeral home
