Obituary of Edward Franklin Hale
Mr. Edward Franklin Hale, age 81 a resident of Auburndale, Florida passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Good Shepherd Hospice Forsythe House in Auburndale surrounded by his family. Mr. Hale was born May 2, 1941 in Jackson, Tennessee to Bonnie Lee and Zola Bell (Conner) Hale. He was a Polk County resident since 1967 coming from Cooter, Missouri and a retired Supervisor for Adams Packing which is now Florida Global Citrus. He was a retired Police Officer in Arkansas and of the Pentecostal faith. Ed enjoyed fishing, tinkering with mechanic’s, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 60 yrs. – Bonnie May Hale; 3 brothers – Hillard, Denny & Roger and 3 sisters – Bonnie Louise, Inetha & Marie. Ed is survived by his loving family, daughter – Darla Renee (George) Brayton of Auburndale, Florida; 2 sons – Edward Doyle (Amy) Hale of Winter Haven, Florida and Donnie Ray (Sherry) Hale of Auburndale, Florida; 4 brothers – Lillard (Lois) Hale of Osceola, Arkansas, Bobby Joe Hale of Caruthersville, Missouri, Billy Hale of Blytheville, Arkansas and Jerry Hale of Molina, Arkansas; 2 sisters – Willie (Jim) Bonds of Blytheville, Arkansas and Brenda (Jerry) Armstrong of Tyrone, Arkansas; 16 grandchildren – Zackery (Serria), Jordan, Jessica, Jacob, Jenna, Jade, Jacey, Katlynn, TJ (Danielle), Randy, David, John, Jeremy, Haley, Jessica (Todd) & Matthew and 15 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Monday, January 23rd from 6:00 until 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, January 24th both at Kersey Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Auburndale Memorial Park.
